The infograph is an eye opener. How many mouths can we feed with that billions of dollars or euros in this case? Can we not just make a simple sporting event? Can we just decrease the numbers of fireworks? Can we just have simple ceremonies?

We all know that it’s not easy to host a huge sporting event. One has to prepare for years. And by doing so, they need to allot huge amount of budget. That goes the same with what happened in the London Olympics.

Indeed, the London Olympics this year was amazing. The opening ceremony reminds me of Avatar. It exceeded one’s expectation. The podium, the light and the sounds are dreamy! But if you are looking at another perspective, you might ask yourself, “How much money did they spend for the Olympics?” This infograph can give you the idea.

This infograph enthralled me. The contents are obviously well researched. London overspent for the Olympics. But was it worth it? That’s the more important question if you ask me. Seeing other countries suffer from more serious problems like hunger and poverty, I might say that they should have kept their budget for the Olympics at a lesser cost. Perhaps, they are thinking that hosting a great sporting event doesn’t come every year. That might be the reason they spent so much.

Going back, the infograph is an eye opener. How many mouths can we feed with that billions of dollars or euros in this case? Can we not just make a simple sporting event? Can we just decrease the numbers of fireworks? Can we just have simple ceremonies?

I’m not good at math, but I know one thing. Spending too much for Olympics is not good given the current global challenges.

Thanks to this infograph, the next host might be able to restructure their budget for the better.

On a lighter note, there’s one business that skyrocketed its profit. That’s the betting business. Do you have an idea that this summer, there was a £310 million pounds worth of bonus bets?
