Who would have thought that January would be the busiest month for barristers? Well, I think that most people like to start anew. They want to start their year right.

I’m quite surprised about the number of couples that divorced last year. It’s 117,558. That’s a huge number. And the average age of a person who files for a divorce is around 43. Talk about midlife crisis.

A century ago, less than 6oo couples were divorced. But now, we have hundreds of thousands. I believe that it’s an indication that couples are having a hard time reconciling their differences. I hope they try and don’t just resort to divorce.

The infograph showed great statistics. But I would love it even more if they have added information as to why these couple usually file for divorce. They could include valid reasons why court would allow them to end their relationship. Those things would make this infograph more useful.
